I really liked my method because it takes into account many aspects of the person not only as a student but it also as a human being with feelings, different points of view, opinions.
This method also improves the skills of listening and speaking, the method has many shortcomings but also very useful to develop these two skills and the method works well with adults.
many times we forget that one way to meet the limit of a person's learning is impossible for that reason we must try to know her/his better, so to know their fears, emotions and desires.
What I did not like my method was to be limited to adults.
TBI METHOD
I really liked TASK TBI activities because they have many ways to learn not only through more classical methods.
I liked the role of the teacher:
select a task
teacher monitors
pre-task
explain the new words and the feedback
The last one is an amazing tool in order to learn new vocabulary
and also the materials need to be authentic to reflect real situations.
AUDIO LINGUAL METHOD
The audio lingual method was kind of good because it is presented in dialogue forms. You memorize many new vocabulary, set of phrases, and structures.
An excellent method to use words, phrases in context in order to know the better use of the words you have learned in this class .
What I did not like very much is the idea that it can be very frustrating memorizing many things.
I have learned how to become a better teacher and how useful are the tools and how to use them in order to teach in the correct and best way.
I have learned that: we can add many tools, methods, activities in order to the students get the learning and also I have learned that those methods mentioned before are good for having an excellent pronuncation not only the students we can to add by ourselves.
in that moment I have more clearly the role of the teachers and the students and I have more ideas to teach in a funny, happy and clearly way.
Teacher and classmates
You are right Macal. I think that the community language learning help us to improve many skills during the apprediceship process such us: pronunciation, reading and listening comprehension , but we need to take into account the enviroment that every student take in the class. For example, we are able to know about their likes and dislikes in order to creative a dinamic class and maybe if you have confidence with the students you can develop more skills for you to make the students understand better.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the other methods i think that every method has something good and bad, but as you mentioned they are important because every student learn in a diferent way. Maybe, a student learn a target language through dialogues as the audio-lingual method promote; so, that's why we might take into account all of those things.
Hello, Mr. Macal Marvelous job. I totally agree with you when you highlight the best sides of Community Language Learning, for example: the cooperation between students and good interaction among students and teacher. Furthermore, I think this method really helps students to be more open-minded because they´ll work among them, and they have to be able to work with any classmate but knowing that the others have not the same thoughts and opinions they have. In this way, students are going to be capable to construct their own learning by themselves as well as the help from the teacher; moreover, they are going to be prepared to face, with the best solutions, the difficult world we have.
